things i'm into

1) aloe. it's magical! it healed my busted lip, my sunburn, my weird unidentified toe problem- you name it, aloe will cure it. i know this is nothing new, aloe is known for its magic healing powers, but i guess i just never realized before how far they extended. i'm here to tell you that aloe is good. for everything.

2) nurse jackie. i just started watching season 2 and i cannot get enough. the characters are all really great, especially jackie. it forces me to question my notions of what makes a good or bad person. realistically, i probably like this show so much because it makes me feel like it's ok to be really terrible if you also have good intentions. or something.

3) sawyer. he just lays with me all day, snoring and wagging his tail in his sleep. nothing is better.

4) reading. i kind of forgot about reading for a second. i'm towards the beginning of Sometimes a Great Notion, and while it's not the easiest book in the world to read, it's enjoyable to use my brain a little bit. duhhhhh. plus it makes me look smart when i'm at the beach.

5) lists. they're clear, easy to read, keep your thoughts organized. maybe i'll write a book of lists.

7) black beans. it's almost become a problem. i feel like they're all i eat. guess things could be worse.

operation fat wiley

i've been trying to find some sort of vegan supplement to bring wiley back to life (he died a few months back). jk but really it's hard to find a weight gain option that isn't made of crumbled oxen bones. any tips?

this album is fantastic! i wasn't sure how i felt about it for a second, but it is truly wonderful. the harmonies are haunting and beautiful in classic peter and the wolf fashion, the songs are complicated and interesting and dancey (real word, btw). i listened to this all the way to and from manhattan, it's great. in conclusion, click on the photo to preview and/or buy the album. highly recommended. two very enthusiastic thumbs up. it's raining in cape may.
