since it seems you are attempting a new, reformed life of clean commenting and pleasantries, i would like to commend you and present you with a new pasttime that i feel certain you will enjoy:
American Apparel's Search for the Best Bottom in the World
I also think you will be particularly good at this activity, considering the countless hours I know you spend playing "guess her muff" etc.
good luck!

frigid

winter is so awesome. here are a few of the things i love about winter:
1. getting out of bed feels so wrong that it is basically impossible because you know you are actually supposed to be hibernating.
2. everyone complains about how cold it is all the time.
3. the car doesn't work in the winter because it's too cold out, so instead of getting to work early, you sit in the car by the side of the road for 10 minutes until it is warmed up. e.g.: this morning.
4. everyone is always crying.
5. you don't have to shower in the winter.
6. or change your clothes.
7. nose bleeds.
8. the sun never shines in the winter.
9. sometimes in the winter, you can't feel your fingers for extended periods of time. even when you're wearing gloves. e.g.: right now.
10. your skin gets so pale and dry, and on especially good days it is cracked and bleeding.
11. hair falls out in winter.
12. teeth fall out.
13. death.

crispy kale
OMG you guys. this is my new shit. i don't even like kale, but i LOAVVE krispy kale. so easy to make. so good for you.
Directions:
preheat oven to 350
take a bunch or two of curly kale and tear small pieces off of the stem.
lay in a single layer on a baking sheet.
put in the oven for 13-15 minutes (or longer- I usually do a little longer to make it XXtra Xrispy)
dump baked kale in a bowl, sprinkle olive oil, sea salt, nutritional yeast on top. not too much oil.
mix gently to get all the chippies covered.
that's it! look out though, it's really good.

i think i have a problem
it's fridaY!!
that's not the problem though. the problem is this: i think i'm a pretzoholic. every day this week i have inhaled countless sourdough pretzels, and the bag is almost empty now. it was full earlier, but now it's almost empty. and it is a Big Bag.

i think there are somewhere between 30-500 pretzels in each bag, which means...i've eaten a lot of pretzels. :(
the good news is...

i'm getting really good at yoga!
for real though, this lady is 90 years old. that's really impressive. fyi.

BYRNE AND FATBOY SLIM WRITE IMELDA MARCOS TRIBUTE ALBUM
Rocker DAVID BYRNE and DJ FATBOY SLIM are collaborating on a new album, inspired by flamboyant former Philippines first lady IMELDA MARCOS. Byrne reveals the LP will be a "disco musical" about the early life of the 79-year-old, the widow of dictator Ferdinand Marcos, who died in 1989. Byrne tells Interview magazine, "I did research and discovered there was this story not just about her, but about the woman who raised her - their parallel lives, and how they became estranged...Imelda spent a lot of time in New York, going to clubs. She converted a floor of her New York townhouse into a kind of a club with a mirror ball and everything."

"THE SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT GUIDO"
"Snooki" of the reality show 'Jersey Shore' may be ditching "the family" to start her own reality show. Snooki, real name Nicole Polizzi, is the girl on reality show "Jersey Shore" who was punched in the face by a man. She is also the girl who took her clothes off and got in a hot tub with all the men in "the family" on their first night at the house. Snooki, who obviously doesn't mind playing up drama in front of the camera, may now be getting her own reality show called "Snookin' for Love," a "Shot at Love"-like reality series.

no fatty
but i'm going to blog about food for a second. just one kind of food. just one product, actually.

this stuff is the BOMB! it tastes AMAZING, it's VEGAN, it's fucking FAT FREE, low in sodium, high in protein. and its delish. and it's cheap! way way better and cheaper than morning star.
do yourself a favor. if you're vegetarian or vegan you should check this out. you can eat it plain for breakfast, or crumble it and cook it up in some chili. the possibilities are endless. if you eat meat, you should really reconsider your lifestyle/values/decisions/outfit.

When Yu Feng of Liaoning Province in China found a dying black snake in the grass outside his home, he made an unusual decision that would change his life. Yu brought the snake inside, determined to give it another lease on life. Little did he know the snake would soon return the favor.
I treated it with herbal medicines, and in 20 days it recovered," Yu said. Once the snake recuperated, Yu decided to release it back into the wild. He took the snake to a nearby mountain more than a mile away. But the snake had grown attached, Yu says, and the next morning, it was back outside his house. He tried two more times to set it free, but it always came back.
"People around me said the snake had come back to repay my kindness, so I kept it." The snake, dubbed Long Long, became the family pet, and before long, it had a chance to return Yu's favor. One night, while Yu was sleeping, he says he felt something cold on his face and awoke to find Long Long.
"He had never woken me up before, but I was so sleepy I went back to sleep. But Long Long grabbed my clothes with his teeth and whipped the bed with his tail.
"Then he went to my mother's bed and whipped her bed with his tail. I woke up then and smelled something burning, and saw my mother's electric blanket was on fire so I leapt up and turned it off."
Though local reptile experts say snakes simply don’t have the brainpower to behave in such a way, Yu insists the snake saved his life. These days Long Long is never far from his side.

The first letter of your name could indicate how long you would live, say researchers. The study, led by academics at Wayne State University in Detroit, America revealed that people whose first name begins with A live longer by 10 years those whose initial is D.
They claim it stems from school grades, where A spells success and D failure. People whose name starts with D are more likely to have low self-esteem, which is linked to cancer and other illnesses.
They had shorter lives than those whose names began with E to Z. “This study suggests names have more of an impact than we’ve ever given them credit for,” the Daily Star quoted Dr David Holmes, from Manchester Metropolitan University, as saying.
